chessGifted education everywhere in the world has a history of fluctuating support. Yet if gifted children are truly to have their needs met, we must find a way of weaving gifted education permanently into the very fabric of our education system.

Following on from the Ministry of Education Rising Tides conference in 2006 which marked a fresh start in gifted education in New Zealand, the Reaching Forward conference will explore this challenging task and vital next step through a wide range of seminars, workshops and debates.

The conference is being hosted by REACH Education and will be held right in the heart of Rotorua, one of the world’s friendliest and most fascinating tourist destinations.

Whatever your role in education – teacher, researcher, parent, psychologist or other professional – you are very warmly invited to join us at this event. A special welcome too to our overseas friends and colleagues, as these are issues we all share and can all contribute to.
